2024 Scholarships Are Completed.
2025 Applications will be available starting January 2025
The Dover Foundation is an independent, non-profit, 501(c)(3), all volunteer organization that has served the Dover Community since 1947.
The Foundation is mostly known for outstanding theatrical performances held in Dover, featuring Dover and surrounding community residents. We also join in other community activities such as the annual town tree lighting and the Dover Music Festival. The proceeds from these performances, an annual appeal, and our endowment, fund these scholarships.
Scholarship awards are granted to graduating Dover students either by mail, or if a DSHS student, at Senior Awards Night. Over the years, more than 550 Dover high school seniors have received over $700,000 in scholarship grants.
Each applicant must be a Dover resident and a graduating senior from any high school - public, private, technical, charter, magnet, boarding, religious, or parochial.
In making scholarship decisions, The Foundation considers many factors including financial need, academic success, community service, and general character.
We welcome ALL majors, especially fine and performing arts, economics, and business.
All applicants must complete an application and write an essay/letter stating why they feel they are qualified to receive an award. Parents are also required to complete a confidential statement.
All applications are due by April 15th each year.
We look forward to reviewing many applications from promising and interesting seniors.
